4G Communication Empowers New Breakthroughs in Low-Altitude Logistics. What kind of innovation will spark when Low-Altitude logistics meets 4G/5G modules? ZHTAero teamed up with Tianjin Electronic lnformation College to conduct a full-chain verification of low-altitude logistics using the KEEL Mini and 4G communication technology. This marks a new benchmark case for university-enterprise collaborative innovation.
During this mission, the KEEL Mini maintained seamless communication with the ground station via the 4G network. Combined with a single-hook drop mechanism, the drone achieved centimeter-level precision in material delivery. According to technical director from ZHTAero, “4G gives the drone a ‘cloud brain,’ unlocking immense value for applications in remote areas such as mountains and islands.”
With extensive 4G/5G coverage, the system operates unhindered by building obstructions and significantly extends the control radius. Real-time data transmission enables instant monitoring of flight status and cargo conditions. Strong anti-interference capability, supported by encrypted communication channels, ensures stable and secure performance even in complex electromagnetic environments.
Throughout the mission, the ZHTAero technical team was on-site to provide comprehensive support, delivering detailed explanations on UAV design, flight control algorithms, and route planning strategies. Their real-world development experience was successfully translated into practical teaching cases.
The transported 3D-printed materials were all educational components independently developed by ZHTAero. In the past, traditional ground transport would take over 40 minutes due to traffic congestion. This time, the direct aerial delivery route reduced the delivery time to just 15 minutes. Looking ahead, we plan to expand into the transport of precision instruments, biological samples, and heavy long-distance cargo. With advanced technology, we continue to empower education, logistics, and emergency response—fostering a collaborative ecosystem that fuels the growth of China’s low-altitude economy.
